Hi, I’m Dr. Katie Jo Hunt!

Thanks for taking a moment to get to know me — I’m thrilled to be part of the amazing New Hampshire community and to support you on your smile journey.

I grew up in Southwest Florida and later moved to Eastern Kentucky, where my family is from. From a young age, I was drawn to creativity and teamwork — whether through crafting, puzzles, or sports like basketball, tennis, and swimming. Those early passions sparked my love for working with my hands, thinking creatively, and collaborating with others — all of which naturally led me to orthodontics, a field that blends artistry, precision, and relationships.

I earned my biology degree from St. John’s University in New York, then headed to Maine for dental school at the University of New England. As a member of the inaugural class, I helped build a brand-new program from the ground up — an experience that taught me the value of hard work, vision, and the deep satisfaction that comes from creating something lasting and meaningful. After nearly five years in general dentistry, I began my orthodontic residency at the University of Kentucky, where I’ve refined my skills and grown my passion for crafting beautiful, functional smiles with personalized care.

New England truly stole my heart, and I’m so happy to be back here with my fiancé Kevin, and our playful golden retriever Layla. We enjoy spending time outdoors, going to concerts, and trying new recipes (Kevin’s BBQ game is strong — he even built his own smoker!). Outside the office, I’m an avid movie lover, always down for a great recommendation, and I love exploring my creative side through things like graphic design. And for me, nothing beats time by the water — whether it’s the ocean, a lake, or a backyard pool. It’s a privilege to work alongside Dr. Diane and be part of a team that values kindness, connection, and clinical excellence. I can’t wait to meet you and be part of your smile story!
