Your Orthodontist Bedford and Amherst, NH
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me and my practice.
I am a native of Virginia, and am the oldest of 4 girls. Growing up, I played the piano and enjoyed team sports like field hockey and lacrosse. When it was time for college, though, I came to New England and never left. You could say that I’m technically a New Englander now – especially since I’m a huge fan of the New England Patriots!
I was fortunate to attend Wellesley College, where I double-majored in Biology and Art History. From there, I graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine with my dental degree. I completed my orthodontic training and received my Masters in Medical Sciences at Harvard University’s School of Dental Medicine. Over these 13 years of schooling, I was the recipient of numerous distinction and awards, a leader of my class, and graduated with highest honors all along the way.
I continue to be an avid student, attending as many continuing education courses as I can. I also lead and participate in several local and regional study clubs where I get the opportunity to work with your dentist, other specialists, and orthodontists from other areas. My commitment to professional development means that I stay current with the best I can offer you and your family.
Outside of dentistry, I’m a mom to 2 awesome kids, and my personal interests are diverse but include cooking, knitting, staying fit, and watching football.
The best part of being an orthodontist is being part of a transformation: watching kids grow up into young adults and watching how someone’s self-esteem is boosted. But perhaps my favorite part of orthodontics is being able to have relationships with families that grow over time. I love seeing kids come back from college, and hearing of their new lives and futures. I feel blessed.
Treatment Philosophy & Mission Statement
Choosing an orthodontist is a big decision. I value my relationship with you and will always try to exceed your expectations. See what my patients have to say about their experiences. Click here.
Conservative philosophy. This means that you will only be given treatment recommendations when it is clear that there is real benefit. Your longterm dental health and function dictate my recommendations.
Timing is everything. I am unique amongst my peers in that I believe in starting full treatment later to keep your treatment times shorter. The benefits to shorter treatment times are a more motivated patient, less time making sacrifices in your routines, and healthier mouths.
Dedicated student. The best treatment advances should be offered to your advantage. To this end, I lead and participate in multiple local, regional and national study clubs and continuing education courses. I also perform a periodic review of charts to study areas in which treatment sequencing can be optimized, and staff training can enhance your experience.
"It is my obligation to provide care to you and your family, as though you are my family. I want the best for your dental health, and will offer my opinions with honesty, transparency, and compassion. I know your trust and loyalty can only be earned through consistent performance and quality results. Please know you can count on me as not only your orthodontist, but also as your friend. Let me hear you, and help you." - Dr. Diane
