Choosing an orthodontist is a very important decision. Unlike many other services, orthodontics is a commitment that will last many years. We want to help you make the right decision for yourself and your family. We want you to feel that you have truly selected the best office in Amherst Orthodontics to establish this long-term relationship.
- There are so many wonderful advantages to our two doctor practice. We have a built-in second opinion for all our patients. Each doctor independently studies and reviews every patient's diagnostic records prior to beginning treatment. This process ensures thoroughness, and that all possible treatment options have been considered.
- Dr. Deb is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Diane is currently working towards her board certification. A board certified orthodontist signifies the highest plateau in education, evaluation, excellence, and ethics.
- We invite parents to accompany their children during their office visits to maintain open lines of communication.
- Our initial visit and all our periodic observation appointments for children and adolescents are complimentary.
- Open communication is essential for a successful relationship. We pride ourselves on our reputation for educating our patients about their orthodontic needs and all their possible treatment options. Our two doctors are committed to being available for your questions and treatment updates - just ask! They really do return your phone calls!
- We offer flexible, in-office financing with no service or interest charges.
- We process claims and accept your insurance payments directly from insurance companies.
- As a member of your dental team, we make it our job to communicate regularly with your dentist and any other dental care provider responsible for your treatment. This includes sending customized letters, x-rays, images, and study models on your behalf.
- We offer evening appointments to compliment our Monday-Friday appointment availabilities.
- We know that having braces can be a very personal experience, hence we offer clear (ceramic) braces and even Invisalign® when appropriate.
- The doctors always place the patient's brackets. Every procedure is performed under their supervision and direction.
- Sterilization procedures are approved and recommended by the American Dental Association. All tissue contact instruments are thoroughly sterilized. Our sterilizers are monitored regularly to insure their effectiveness and safety. Disposable supplies are used whenever possible and braces and wires are never recycled.
- Successful orthodontic treatment is dependent on a strong partnership between our patients and our orthodontic team. We have developed an incentive program for our patients who are in a full braces program called Spike Bucks! Spike Bucks are redeemed for awesome gift certificates and even U.S. Savings Bonds!
- Emergency coverage is available 7 days a week. You will not be assessed a fee if you need to be seen for an emergency after office hours.

- addressing the individual patient and customizing the orthodontic treatment to fit the patient's dental needs and his or her needs as a human being.
- providing an atmosphere of trust and caring between our team and our patients.
- maintaining the highest standard of orthodontic care through a series of continuing education programs for the doctors and team. Our clinical team is state certified, fully trained and licensed. Our entire office staff maintains current CPR certification for your safety.
- improving the "quality of life" for our patients by contributing to their sense of well-being and to the development of their self-esteem.
- being active members in Amherst and surrounding towns. It isn't just about creating beautiful smiles; we also enjoy every opportunity to say "Thanks" to our patients by sponsoring their organizations, charities, and activities.
- making our patients feel important. We take the time to explain the treatment rendered during each visit so that each patient can participate fully in the process of changing his or her mouth. Because our patients understand our treatment goals, their cooperation is enhanced, and our results are optimized.
