Orthodontic treatment can be successful at any age, and adults especially appreciate the benefits of great dental health and a beautiful smile. About one-third of our patients are adults!
With advances in technology, orthodontic treatment is faster and more comfortable, and braces are less noticeable than in the past. We are pleased to offer several treatment options: small metal braces, clear braces, or Invisalign®. Whether you are in your twenties or seventies, the health and appearance of your teeth are important aspects of your life. Orthodontic treatment is one of the best investments you can make for yourself.
A referral from your dentist is not necessary to schedule an exam, so please contact us if you would like an evaluation for yourself or another family member.
Our goal is to get to know you, your treatment goals and review different treatment options that best suit your needs. We look forward to helping you get the smile you’ve always wanted! Click here to learn more about your first visit.
Compared to adolescent patients, adults can present with complex problems that require a team approach to treatment. Drs. Deb and Diane are experienced at coordinating seamless care with your dentist and/or other dental specialists to achieve ideal results. Another difference between adolescent and adult orthodontics is that limited treatment is also more common in adults. Your dentist may recommend repositioning teeth with orthodontics prior to reconstructive work (crowns, bridges, implants). Adults also may have experienced some breakdown or loss of their teeth and bone that supports the teeth and may require periodontal treatment before, during and/or after orthodontic treatment. Bone loss can limit the amount and direction of tooth movement.
